Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions about ExamNet.
How is ExamNet different from using spreadsheets?
ExamNet automates USDA-aligned grain measurement calculations, eliminating manual formulas and reducing errors. Key differences:
- Built-in pack factors — No manual lookups or formula errors
- Audit trail — Every measurement is date-stamped and user-attributed
- No file locking — Multiple users can work simultaneously
- Consistent methodology — Same calculations used by state examiners
Most operators cut their month-end close from 2–3 days down to under 4 hours.
What grain types and bin configurations does ExamNet support?
Grain Types: Corn, soybeans, wheat (all classes), sorghum, barley, oats, rice, sunflower seeds, canola, and more.
Bin Types: Round bins, flat storage, peaked bins, temporary piles, and more.
Level-Off Functions: Flat/level, cone-up, cone-down, high sides, low sides, and complex combinations.
If you have a unique configuration, contact us — we can work with it.
How long does implementation take?
Most operations are up and running within 5–7 business days:
- Day 1–2: Account setup and bin configuration
- Day 3–4: Onboarding walkthrough with our team
- Day 5–7: Parallel run with your existing system
For multi-facility operations, we can stagger rollout or implement company-wide simultaneously based on your preference.
Guided implementation, training, and data migration are offered as Professional Services scoped to your operation — contact us for details.
